The town of Čabar or the hometown of Petar Klepac , the legendary „Croatian giant“ contains one quarter of the territory of Gorski kotar and it is the third largest town in Primorsko-goranska County. It is the greenest part of Croatia. Its green wealth spreads on over more then 94% of the area. The most important places are Čabar, Gerovo, Prezid, Plešce and Tršće. In all these towns together, with the villages and hamlets around 4,000 people live today.
